Activities
I have 2-3 activities, and then if anyone wants to chat after, they can.
Let’s meet at Comanche Overlook Park for the following:
- Music Meditation – I have some musical instruments we can use to wind down and meditate for a bit. Bring a towel, blanket, or chair, and we can sit or lay on the ground in a circle while and sound meditate. I kind of have a preference to be on the ground more than a chair to be closer to the earth, but it is totally up to you.
- Group Reiki – After some time to meditate, we can pivot to channel reiki as a group. (I normally do this individually on a table, but it can be done in a group setting just as well, plus I don’t have to carry around a table.)
- Group Mediumship Practice – Bring a photo of someone, or if you can’t get a photo / don’t want people touching your photo, write down their name on a note card… it is the intention that counts. The person can be living or dead. We can shuffle up the cards and try channeling anything for that person named on the card. Note: with mediumship, you can make a call, but that doesn’t guarantee they will pick up the line. Halloween season is globally seen as the best time to see or hear ghosts, as the veil between the spirit world and living is the thinnest. Actually, I once saw god in an astral project on that day (and did not believe in god), so if we have any shot at hearing from ghosts, late October is the time.

I have not personally been to this park before, so it will be new to me too. I will park in the main parking lot, then walk up the hill. I am excited to walk up the hill, and likely won’t spend a huge amount of time waiting in a parking lot with such beauty ahead of me. I am hoping to be at the spot at 3pm.
To walk up the hill, don’t wear heals or flip flops, unless you like self-imposed challenges. If you get there late, just walk up the hill. I am wanting to go to the top peak that I am seeing on the city website with the large rock. I am going to the large rock part (NOT the tower).
Recommended to Bring
- I recommend bringing water, or at least drinking something before you head out.
- Towel, Blanket, or chair
- Meditative Music instrument (I have a bag full if you don’t have any)
- Please consider bring a tip. If you enjoy having an organized event with like minded folks, put some energy into it to keep it going.
- Maybe sun glasses or a scarf to cover your eyes when meditating (optional).
- Costume (optional) – Hey, if you want to hike uphill in a costume, go for it.
How to Spot Me
I will likely have my distinct rainbow bag with me and a small “Spiritual Happy Hour” sign as well. There is always a chance I may bring my tarot cards, but it depends on if I want to haul that around too.
History
“Comanche” is the word for the enemy, or the ones who attack us all the time. It is what the Ute’s called the Nʉmʉnʉʉ tribe and the name that is used by the US Government. This spot was once Apache Territory, then Nʉmʉnʉʉ territory, then European territory.
