As a close out to the Ring of Fire Eclipse, I wanted to share my photos.
I was lucky to have a handful of friends come over to my parents house, so I can view the eclipse with my friends and family. My parents’ house was the closest to the totality line amoung the houses of my friends / family.
I kind of wish I was a tad bit more on the ball. I normally don’t wake up until noon on most days, so getting to my parents house at 10:30am (my choice) probably put my timing a bit more last minute than I could have been. I just got to my parents’ house and was setting up the tables, and trying to squeeze lemonade, and missing the first part of the eclipse. I finally got caught up enough to setup my camera, with the lens filter and take a look.
During the main part of the eclipse, it would seem that I was looking at the eclipse with my eyes (and glasses) and forgetting to look through the camera lens. At some point the camera was zoomed out, so my shots of totality are like a farther out view.
Regardless, I do think the photos of the eclipse were good, and a good learning trial for the next full eclipse in 2024.
Here are the photos, enjoy.
